From Friday, 13 February 2026 to Sunday, 15 February 2026, nearly 150 devotees from Esanatham village undertook a sacred barefoot pilgrimage to the renowned Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple, Palani.

The spiritual journey began at Esanatham Mariyamman Temple on Friday evening at 5:00 PM. With prayers and blessings from elders, the devotees started their walk with deep faith and determination.

Walking barefoot throughout the journey, the group covered the distance over three days, finally reaching Palani around 9:00 AM on Sunday morning.

A Journey of Devotion and Unity

The pilgrimage was marked not only by devotion but also by strong community bonding. Devotees stayed at different locations along the way. On Saturday morning, the group was warmly welcomed at a local farm where the hospitality made everyone feel at home. The kindness and generosity shown by the hosts reflected the true spirit of Tamil culture.

One of the most special highlights of the trip was the participation of a person from England, who had never been to India before. Despite it being his first visit, he completed the entire barefoot journey alongside the villagers — an inspiring example of culture crossing borders.

Blessed and Grateful

Throughout the pilgrimage, the food arrangements were excellent, and devotees expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors and volunteers who supported the trip.

Participants described the journey as spiritually uplifting and deeply blessed. The unity, devotion, and shared experience made it a memorable event for everyone involved.

Esanatham village once again demonstrated its strong cultural and spiritual roots through this meaningful pilgrimage.
